Welcome
Hi Friends,
Welcome to my nursing website! Here you can follow me along through my nursing journey. I am a sophomore in college and I cannot wait to take you along with me on this experience. Words cannot describe how excited I am to have the opportunity to make an impact within healthcare. Hopefully we can learn from each other as we go through this.
Faith Statement
I have always grown up in a Christian household. When I was in the third grade, I gave my life to Christ. He has greatly impacted my life and I would not be where I am today, without Him. I am passionate about serving others and bringing the Gospel to those who have never experienced His faithfulness and goodness.

"For with God nothing will be impossible."
Luke 1:37
Why?
Unlike most people, I never planned on going into healthcare. I though I would be the type of person to gag at bodily fluids or faint if I saw an organ. However, after taking to people who work in a hospital, I realized that I would be able to get use to it. In today's world, nurses are getting burned out mentally and physically. As sad as it is, many nurses are under appreciated and do not get the recognition they deserve, which is why we need more people in this field. Twelve hour shifts are completely exhausting, but it is so rewarding to bring joy back into a patient. I would love to go into pediatrics, NICU, PICU, or anything with the little people. Knowing this will be a difficult specialty, I still have a desire for this area and feel completely drawn to it. However, I know that it could change when I begin clinicals. After I receive my BSN, I plan on continuing my education with a DNP. I want to do some travel nursing contracts to see how other hospitals run and how healthcare can vary within hospitals. So what is my why for what I want to do. It is simple, to be able to help people through healthcare and to spread Jesus. I am passionate about caring for others to see a smile on their face. As a Christian, we are meant to spread the Gospel "to the ends of the earth" (Matthew 28:16-20) and I am prepared to go anywhere. Here I am Lord, O Father send me!
